Relief...

October 20, 2013

Well after a disappointing season from Cindy last season where she laid a clutch of slugs, she's just laid a viable clutch of 8 eggs and 4 slugs. 5 of the eggs look very vibrant and three look a little rough around the edges but still have veins so all going well should be ok. Cindy was put with Blaine so it will be interesting to see what sort of ratios I will get, especially considering the last time she bred was with Charles and they produced 62.5% Albinos from a het/het pairing.

Harchlings Progress

January 29, 2013
Well I have been able to get 4 of the Albino Hatchlings eating well and they are now listed in the "Available Stock" section. The others are proving a little more difficult at this stage but it is still early days and I have no doubt they will all start eating consistantly soon.
I also have my Woma eggs from James and Josie due to hatch any day now. Can't wait to see the hatchlings. I love the Womas!!!

Breeding Season 2012..... update

October 26, 2012
Well all is on track for a good year. Talia(Albino Darwin) laid 12 eggs earlier today. I gave them a quick candle and all seem to be viable eeggs making me a very happy boy!!!!
Cindy(Darwin het) is due to lay tomorrow and Jane(SXR jungle) is really starting to look big, as is Josie(Woma). This season is looking like a much better year to ty and replace the terrible memory of last seasons dismal efforts.
If anyone has any enquiries feel free to drop me a line.....

Breeding Season 2012

August 30, 2012
Well to put it bluntly, last season was nothing short of disastrous. From all of the breeding last season I only eneded up with 8 eggs from Josie. Of those only 5 were fertile, and 2 of those wen't bad during incubation. I have put the terrible results down to not enough heating during late winter, early spring. I had tried to save on electricity by running a full bank of 4 foot enclosures with a heat cord under a ceramic tile instead of the ceramic heat emitters that I had used in the past. ...

Breeding Season

September 6, 2011
Well it's been a while since I've posted here but it's been exciting over the last few months - yep, the breeding season. I have paired James and Josie again this season and all signs are pointing towards another good year with ovulation noticed 1/9/11. It appears as though they have stopped mating now as well after a long winter of cuddling up together.
I have also put Taurus and Jane together this season and again signs appear to be good with I'm pretty sure ovulation witnessed 5/9/11.
Now f...

This Seasons Pairs

April 12, 2011
Well the next breeding season is very rapidly approaching so I thought I would let you all know what pairings I will be putting together this season.
I have introduced James and Josie last night and have already witnessed mating this morning, less than 12hrs of them being put together.

I have also introduced Taurus and Jane. This is the first time that they have been together but early indications are that they will get along just fine with some alignment witnessed this morning.
